From December 2015 Agricultura journal will be published in partnership with De Gruyter Open (degruyteropen.com), the world's second largest publisher of Open Access academic content, and part of the De Gruyter group which has over 260 years of publishing history. De Gruyter Open closely cooperates with the majority of abstracting and indexing services, universities and libraries, providing a wide availability of journal's content and increasing its visibility. Agricultura's full-text articles will be found also at the new address on the De Gruyter Open's platform in following weeks.

Changing demands on professional competence of teachers at agricultural vocational schools Demands on professional competence of farmers and gardeners are changing. Education and training have to react to this fact. As consequence aims, content, methods an conditions of education and training have to be adapted. Teachers have to understand this changing situation. They need a new approach for planning, preparation, realization and evaluation of subject related lessons. They need a new teaching competence as a “manager of learning processes”, who is able to plan and to arrange action oriented teachingand learning arrangements and learning situations with the aim, to develop independence and self responsible learning of the trainees. In this connection methodical competence plays an important role as significant condition for life-long learning. Use of new media becomes more and more important point of teaching and learning process.

Izobraževanje učiteljev na ravni kmetijskih šol - novi izzivi in nove zasnove

Zahteve glede strokovne usposobljenosti učiteljev na kmetijskih strokovnih šol se spreminjajo glede na spremenjene zahteve strokovne usposobljenosti kmetov in vrtnarji. Izobraževanje in usposabljanje se morata odzvat na to dejstvo. Posledično se morajo prilagoditi cilji, vsebine, metode in pogoji izobraževanja ter usposabljanja. Učitelji se morajo zavedati spremenjenih razmer. Učitelji potrebujejo nov pristop za načrtovanje, pripravo, izvedbo in vrednotenje pouka. Potrebujejo novo učno usposobljenost kot "vodja učnega procesa", ki je sposoben načrtovati in organizirati pouk, usmerjen k ukrepom in ureditev učenja in učnih situacij, s ciljem, da razvijejo neodvisnost in samostojno, odgovorno učenje pripravnikov. V zvezi s tem ima metodično usposobljenost pomembno vlogo kot pomemben pogoja za vseživljenjsko izobraževanje. Uporaba novih medijev postaja vse bolj pomembno točko poučevanja in učnega procesa
